Uusinta String Quartet: Maria Puusaari and Teija Kivinen, violin, Max Savikangas, viola, Sami Mäkelä, violoncello with Sibelius Academy students Santeri Rautiainen, guitar, Fanny Söderström, piano, Laura Lamminmäki, viola and Inkeri Eirola, violoncello.

In this concert of KLANG series Uusinta Ensemble create various viewpoints of the opportunities of the traditional and extended string quartet.

What can a string quartet also sound like? What kind of music can become from combining silence and noise? How can the historical sound of a string quartet be achieved in a fresh way?
